Wallenmahd energy center, AU

A modern heating center is being built in Dornbirn Wallenmahd - a milestone for sustainable energy supply in the region and an important step in Dornbirn's climate roadmap.
The Ilg building owners already paid attention to sustainability during construction and implemented the concrete parts with Clim@Add®.
One highlight of the construction project is the world's first combined use of climate-controlled concrete and innovative slipform technology. This not only enables particularly efficient and seamless construction, but also savesCO2 during the construction phase.
The pile foundation with Clim@Add® is also a novelty – the concrete additive has proven itself here too and demonstrated how versatile the additive is.
The new Dornbirn heating plant is a showcase project for climate-friendly construction and energy generation and a model of efficiency: the three construction phases of the Dornbirn Wallenmahd energy center were completed within a year.
"The Wallenmahd energy center shows how demanding technical requirements, sustainable building materials and regional value creation can be combined in an overall concept."
Mario Bischof, Managing Director of i+R Industrie- und Gewerbebau

For the first time, Clim@Add® was also used for the pile foundation, which meant that CO₂ emissions could already be reduced in the foundation area

Tried and tested many times over: our Clim@Add® as an additive in concrete for floor slabs and stable foundations. This floor slab supports the heating system.

The Clim@Add® heating plant was the first in the world to be constructed using innovative slipform technology.
