De Nieuwe Defensie residential area, Utrecht, Netherlands

Urban living in green surroundings and undergoing change: new sustainable living space has been developed close to the city center in Utrecht.

A green residential oasis is being created just a few minutes' walk from the historic city center of Utrecht. Thanks to our Clim@Add® additive, the walls contribute to the sustainability of the large-scale "De Nieuwe Defensie" project. The first walls made of climate-controlled concrete have already been erected by ERA Contour. A total of 150 apartments are being built as part of this project.

The precast concrete walls are manufactured by our partner Voorbij Prefab in their precast plant using ClimAdd®. By adding our carbon-storing additive, the walls permanently remove _{CO2 from} the atmosphere and reduce the carbon footprint of the concrete.
