Asphalt surface of the Deutsche Post mail center, Duisburg

Gieseke realizes over 4,400 m² of asphalt with Clim@Add®.

The construction company Gieseke relied on Clim@Add® for the expansion of the Deutsche Post mail center and thus celebrated a premiere in German logistics construction.

Here, too, the focus was on reducing emissions through a thinner construction method, a high proportion of recycled material and lower mixing temperatures, among other things, in order to then offset the remaining residual emissions with Clim@Add® . This makes the asphaltCO2-neutral overall. Clim@Add® is installed here as a component of the asphalt base layer - soCO2 can be permanently bound in the road surface.

We are particularly pleased about the cooperation with the Gieseke Group - together we are successfully putting sustainable solutions into practice.

"With this pilot project for the DHL Group, we are demonstrating that sustainable road and traffic area construction is already possible today," says Managing Director Mark Gieseke. "By using recycled materials, regional building materials and binding carbon in the asphalt, we can significantly reduce the ecological footprint of our construction projects."
