We continuously invest in the further development of our technology and application options

Research projects

In consortia with partners from science, research and industry, we are not only constantly developing our technology but also investing in the optimization of applications and synergies with other sustainability technologies.

RCC2 research project:CO2 savings of up to 80% when building with innovative concrete.

The Austrian research study RCC2 (Reduced Carbon Concrete) investigated the potential of innovative concrete mix designs to decarbonize concrete.

The consortium has worked out how the life cycle assessment of heatable formwork to support CO₂-reduced concretes can be evaluated and to what extent this influences the sustainability of innovative concrete mix designs.

Heated formwork allows performance concrete to be used all year round. But they consume electricity. How does this affect the overall CO₂ balance when using CO₂-reduced to CO₂-neutral concrete, such as climate concrete with Clim@Add®?

Biochar LIFE EU research project

The project aims to demonstrate the production of plant-based biochar (biochar for short) in the compost cycle and its development into high-quality biochar products.

The key innovation is "PyroDry", a new drying and pyrolysis technology from Austrian partner NGE. This involves carbonizing the screening residues from the biowaste and producing biochar as a new raw material.

Together with the German partner CARSTORCON, the project will develop new climate-positive building material additives based on the biochar produced.
