Mini ramp at Zittau Skatepark

Mini ramp at Zittau Skatepark

We are constantly testing our materials in new applications—one very special project was the construction of a mini ramp for the new skate park at O-See in Zittau.

The concrete of the mini ramp must withstand particular stresses caused by skateboards and point loads caused by wheels or scooter wheels. The small wheels create very high pressure or compression loads on a small area. Clim@Add® has proven to be on par with the reference concrete and can withstand spins and turns. The climate concrete also copes just as well with impact loads from jumps as the reference concrete.

The ramp was cast from three components in a specially made formwork and then assembled at the pump track at O-See.

A big thank you to all our partners:

  • Dextor Baudienstleistung took care of planning, construction, and material coordination.
  • TBR Transportbeton Oberlausitz GmbH & Co. KG supported the project with laboratory analyses and the development of the final concrete mix design.
  • The entire project was implemented by O-SEE Sports e.V.
  • The project was co-financed by prize money from the eku Idee competition for the award-winning project idea "CO2Create2Skate."
