Successful series of tests in collaboration with Voorbij Prefab B.V.

Voorbij Prefab B.V. from Amsterdam already uses a CO2-reduced cement and has achieved CO2 savings from 180 to 115 kg CO2/m3 by increasing the use of granulated blast furnace slag. Thanks to our collaboration, the footprint of the precast concrete elements has now been reduced even further: The use of Clim@Add® hasresulted in a further 75 kg of CO2 savings perm3 !

This project illustrates how the combination of different sustainability measures can achieve maximum impact. At the same time, the principle of avoidance - reduction - compensation is applied. We can only achieve the global climate targets if we think about reducing and offsetting together. In cooperation with Voorbij Prefab B.V., a major step towards "Zero Impact Concrete" in production has been achieved.

With a low CO2 load of 40 kg/m3, the concreteexceeds the definition of the Dutch Betonakkoord, which promotes the implementation of the EU Green Deal at national level in the Netherlands.

The test results are also impressive! The required strength values of the C35/45 concrete in the 28-day assessment were exceeded by more than 10 %.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration and are currently planning the first residential project in September.
